Catch-all Emails
Learn precisely what a catch-all e-mail account is really, the way it operates and how to set up one.
A catch-all email mailbox is one that collects all the messages sent to inactive email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an outdated email address or has made a typographical error. The disadvantage of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of unsolicited messages, but this issue can be resolved by using anti-spam protection software. It’s also important to bear in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot forward incoming emails to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting
If you have a web hosting service with us and you want to activate the catch-all option for a specific mailbox that you’ve got in the account, it’ll take literally just one click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to do that. A catch-all button is available to the right of each and every email address that you have set up under any domain hosted in the account. You can pick one single address per domain by clicking on the corresponding button. This will enable the feature instantaneously, so all messages sent to misspelled email addresses will be received there. Clicking the button again will turn off the catch-all feature. If you’ve got enabled email forwarding, our system will display a cautionary message and you will not be able to enable the catch-all feature unless you disable the forwarding or you can simply choose some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.
- Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
You will be able to create a catch-all email address with no more than a click if you have a Linux semi-dedicated hosting service with us and your emails are handled by our cloud platform. All the mailboxes that you set up using any domain hosted in the account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable this option will be to click that icon. In the exact same fashion you’ll be able to disable the feature, if you do not need it any longer. Our system will notify you if you’re attempting to activate a second catch-all email address for a certain domain or if there’s active email forwarding, but it will never change or disable any feature automatically and without your approval. - Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
